Vacation Rental Cleaner/Housekeeper

What we’re looking for in you:

  • You take pride in your work and you take ownership in doing things right. 

  • You are reliable and you show up on time. 

  • You have at least 1 year experience cleaning homes.

  • You’re looking to work for a team that will respect you and the work you put into it.

  • If you have a cleaning team or company, we expect you to be the same primary cleaner each time for consistency. We are not looking for someone who sends different team members for each cleaning.  

 

Overview:

Our Cleaner is the most important role in ensuring a 5-star guest experience. You will be responsible for completing turnovers at the property including laundry, reporting things that are damaged, broken, missing, or needing attention, and taking inventory. You will be interacting with our host team to communicate needs and report problems.

 

Duties:

  • Fully clean the property and bring it back to a 5-star standard. This includes, but is not limited to, laundry, vacuuming, mopping, changing sheets, making beds, preparing fresh towels, washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, restocking paper supplies & snacks.

  • Treat stains, dirt, and spots as if they were never there.

  • Perform light maintenance duties such as changing batteries and lightbulbs.

  • You will also do light outdoor cleaning such as sweeping patios & sidewalks, wiping down tables & chairs, checking the grill & fire pit.

  • Bag trash and leave it in the trash receptacle.

  • Take inventory and report necessary restocks.

  • Report repair or replacement needs.

  • Once-a-quarter deep cleanings will also be required and will be paid as a separate cleaning.

  • Cleaning supplies & tools supplied by the Cleaner are preferred, but not required.

  • Must be able to download mobile apps and use via IOS or Android

  • You must have means of transportation.

 

Physical Demands:

The property has multiple flights of stairs. Cleaning the home requires light lifting, bending, moving, and sometimes the cleaning is under time restraints. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

 

Schedule:

  • Our property books mostly on weekends. Most check-outs occur on Sundays & Mondays at 10am.

  • We expect the turnover to start immediately after the guests check-out. 

  • Occasionally we allow guests to check-out late. This is typically never past 1pm, and we don’t allow late check-outs on a same-day turnover.

  • If there is a same-day turnover, the cleaning must be fully complete before 4pm for the next check-in.

  • The schedule does fluctuate and is based on when guests book the property. Bookings & cleanings will be communicated via a mobile app that syncs with our booking calendar.

  • Weekends

  • Holidays

  • On call, if needed

  • Approximately 5-6 hours per week

  • Approximately 4-5 cleanings per month, 20-30 hours per month

 

Pay:

The Cleaner is paid a per-cleaning-project rate. Rate to be discussed based on experience 

 

Experience/Requirements:

  • 1 year experience in cleaning homes is required

  • We prefer that cleaning supplies & tools be supplied by the Cleaner, however, this is open for discussion & negotiation.
